WoodJock Music Festival Starts Tonight

Jake Peavy is headlining WOODJOCK 2010

The WoodJock Music Festival is the first of its kind. Music talent from around Major League Baseball will be on full display, headlined by White Sox Ace pitcher Jake Peavey..Ten other athletes and their celebrity friends will rock the stage to showcase their music abilities for the first ever athlete music Jamfest. The jam is going down at the Old Town Scottsdale which will host the event with 1,200 tickets available for sale.  Tickets start at $39.00 for general admission and go all the way up to $700.00 for the VIP treatment. All proceeds will benefit the Jake Peavy Foundation which raises funds for Team Focus, Strikeouts For Troops, Autism Speaks, and White Sox Charities. Sounds like a great idea, but why is it athletes always want to be rock stars, and rock stars always want to be athletes? Either way, its all for charity, so good looking out Jake Peavy.
