The Cubs became the first big-league team with ballgirls in 1982 when Marla Collins took the field — actually patrolled the area off the actual playing field — in an outfit that featured a Cubs jersey and shorts. She lasted until 1986 when it was decided after she had posed for Playboy to replace her.
