LSU offensive lineman Ed Ingram was recently suspended for an undisclosed violation of team policy, and it was revealed on Tuesday that the sophomore is in serious legal trouble. Brooks Kubena of The Advocate has learned that Ingram was arrested on two counts of aggravated sexual assault in Dallas County on Aug. 2, which was the day before LSU began preseason camp. The victim in the case is a minor, and LSU said the incident took place before Ingram joined the program. He committed on Feb. 1, 2017. The DeSoto Police Department confirmed to The Advocate that it received a report from Child Protective Services on Aug. 22, 2017. It is not clear exactly when the incident took place, as state confidentiality laws prevent CPS from releasing any details about it. Court documents obtained by The Advocate show that Ingram was released on $40,000 bond on Aug. 4 on conditions that he is not to leave the state of Texas and is prohibited from having communication with the victim or contact with any minor. – TO
