Las Vegas, NV (AHN) – New Orleans Saints tight end Jeremy Shockey was recently hospitalized in Vegas after suffering from dehydration. He has since been released and the team reports he is doing just fine. First reported by TMZ, Shockey was taken from a pool party at the Hard Rock Hotel after losing consciousness. He was wheeled out on a stretcher during the afternoon. The team has confirmed that Shockey’s stay in the hospital was a short one, and that he was released later on Sunday. Shockey, 28, is a prominent part of the New Orleans powerhouse offense. Since joining them in 2008, he’s established himself a key receiver and blocker. He caught 50 passes for 483 yards in the 12 games he was active.
