Despite being the major benefactor of Oregon sports, Phil Knight’s donations haven’t necessarily translated into championship trophies for the basketball team. We’re being told, he’s sick of putting up all this cash and them not winning. Rumor has it he’s thinking about moving his loyalties elsewhere says our Oregon Alum with close ties to Knight. The Nike head honcho has maintained his connection to Stanford, his donations to Stanford have been most notable on the academic side though. In 2006, Knight gave an unprecedented $105 million for the construction of the Knight Management Center at the Stanford GSB, where the dean is titled the Philip H. Knight professor. However, he has also made contributions to the Stanford Department of Athletics.-TO
