C.T. Pan came close to claiming a first PGA Tour title on Sunday at the Wyndham Championship. Tied for the lead, the 26-year-old’s awful tee shot on the final hole wound up out-of-bounds and led to a double bogey. Needing a fill-in for the event, Pan had his wife, Michelle, step in and caddy for the week. In an interview with CBS’ Amanda Balionis during a weather delay on Saturday, Pan says his success at the Wyndham “was a coincidence,” that “she doesn’t help me much,” and that “she just needs to show up, keep up, and shut up, I guess.” Ultimately, the duo made out well as 2nd place earned them $528,000. – TO
