MLB Committee Debating Radical Realignment Plan

March 10, 2010 at 10:58 am by Terez in Bud Selig, Major League Baseball

What did you say Terez..you like the idea..speak up sonny..I'm very old..

SI.com is reporting Bud Selig and the old boys network have set up a 14-person “special committee for on-field matters” One of the issues at hand is a floating realignment, where teams would not be fixed into a particular division. Teams would be free to change divisions on a year to year basis depending on geography, payroll and competitive balance. One of the worst ideas I’ve ever heard..what’s great about divisions, is rivalries and tradition. I would stop watching baseball if this came to fruition..but as we know, if it did happen it would be about one thing and one thing only..MONEY!! -TO
