Many college players are beyond talented, and the nation treats them accordingly. We hold college athletes to a high level, elevating tournaments such as March Madness and college championship games to professional levels of athletic competition. The amount of hard work these student-athletes need to put in to maintain a passable GPA and also be star players takes discipline, skill, and confidence.Several professional level athletes have voiced their support of college players getting paid. Lebron James candidly told the press last month “I know how much these college coaches get paid. I know how much these colleges are gaining off these kids. … I’ve always heard the narrative that they get a free education, but you guys are not bringing me on campus to get an education, you guys are bringing me on it to help you get to a Final Four or to a national championship.” Now, former NFL quarterback Johnny Manziel is speaking up about unpaid NCAA athletes as well.IT’S TIME! The NCAA is a joke..” tweeted Manziel. Go get em Johnny.-TO
