Furniture store employee fired for lying about NFL owners gator table purchases

Terez, I'm looking for a croc desk if you know where I can get one?

Lie to Page Six and lose your job. Claire Gozzo has been fired from Giorgio’s Palm Beach furniture store on Madison Avenue for claiming that Washington Redskins owner Dan Snyder spent $600,000 on two alligator tables and matching chairs. A Redskins rep told us, “Mr. Snyder did not order or buy any alligator desks or chairs.” Embarrassed store owner George Sharoubim yesterday said, “I apologize to all concerned in this matter. I had no knowledge of this. I never use the names of my customers, and my employee lied. She has been terminated from the company.” — NY Post

The Redskins actually emailed me yesterday about the story being a fabrication.I don’t know why the employee made up the story, but I know she regrets it now. -TO
