Dwight Clark’s Ashes Buried Next To Goal Post From “The Catch” (VIDEO)

Last month, Dwight Clark died after a long battle with ALS. The legendary San Francisco 49ers wide receiver was best known for coming down with “The Catch,” the game-winning touchdown in the NFC Championship Game against the Dallas Cowboys on January 10, 1982. Clark’s final resting place won’t be too far from where he made that catch, as his ashes were buried next to the goal post from the Candlestick Park end zone. Over the weekend, former 49ers coach Steve Mariucci revealed that Clark’s ashes have been laid to rest in Montana, where the goal post now resides on former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo’s ranch. – TO
