During Friday’s game between Peoria and Goodyear Desert Edge, Peoria senior receiver Cameron Torres made a catch near the sideline. He then kinda high-stepped into the end zone for a touchdown. He was called for an unsportsmanlike penalty, ejected from the game and faces a suspension for his homecoming game. Peoria coach Will Babb said via azcentral: “I am really perplexed, because I am still not sure what he did wrong,” Babb said. “He did have high knees, but there is no rule against high knees. He scored, ran to the back of the end zone and celebrated with his teammates. I didn’t see it as taunting.” – TO
