Pro Golfer Recruits Twitter Follower To Caddie For Him In Upcoming PGA Event

Pro golfer Steven Bowditch hasn’t made a cut in a PGA Tour event this year. He hasn’t put together a top-10 finish since 2016. And for the weekend’s John Deere Classic, he won’t have an experienced PGA caddie. That’s because Bowditch found his caddie for the weekend’s tournament on Twitter. On Monday night, Bowditch tweeted an open call for any “local kids/college players in the Quad cities area” to take up the role as his caddie. He said that the job would start Tuesday and admittedly did not expect the opportunity to extend beyond Friday’s cut. Elias, a 16-year-old with familiarity with the course, ended up scoring the gig. – TO
