Pirates Fan Managed To Take A Homerun To The Junk

A ball hit off of Padres infielder Carlos Asuaje’s bat went over the fence in right center and hit a Pirates fan in the junk before bouncing back into play.  The hit was originally ruled to have bounced back into play off of the fence and had to be reviewed before the homerun was given.  They could have saved themselves some time by asking the fan where the ball hit.  It appears as if the fan has the ball lined up to make the catch but pulls his hands back at the last second, probably to avoid interfering with the play, and took it right in the family jewels.  I bet he’ll be wearing a cup the next time he comes to the ballpark.- TO
