Ex-Panthers Owner Fined $2.75 Million For Workplace Misconduct

On Thursday, the NFL announced that Richardson has been fined $2.75 million. A statement from the league says most of the money will be used to “support the work of organizations dedicated to addressing race and gender-based issues in and outside of the workplace.” Richardson was forced out as the owner of the Panthers after it was revealed that he has reached multiple confidential settlements with his now former employees over workplace misconduct. Richardson recently completed the sale of the Panthers to David Tepper for $2.275 billion, so it’s safe to assume the check for the fine is in the mail. – TO
