Capitals Player Had Finger Sliced Off Then Reattached During Stanley Cup Final

Washington Capitals defenseman Brooks Orpik revealed to reporters Wednesday that during Game 2 of the finals, part of his pinky finger was severed off. No biggie. It only “kinda fell off,” so he had it reattached and kept playing. Orpik lost part of his finger late in Game 2 when Vegas Golden Knights winger Erik Haula dished out a hard slash. In response, Haula got a five-minute major penalty and a game misconduct. – TO
