Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger described the vicious game as “AFC North football.” In a radio appearance with 93.7 The Fan, Roethlisberger spoke about Shazier’s injury. He also added his thoughts about his son playing football. Roethlisberger said that he wouldn’t stop his son from playing football, but he really hopes he chooses golf. Via cbslocal.com: “When we talked in the offseason about really evaluating and making sure, these are the reasons. And having kids, I hope my son plays golf. If he wants to play football that’s fine too but it’s a tough sport. It’s not for everyone. If he wants to do it, I’ll encourage it. If he doesn’t, I’m just fine with that as well.” Who knows what the NFL will look like in 25 years. No one wants their kids playing tackle football, not even the NFL guys. The future of Flag Football looks bright.-TO
